The secondary structure of Mus musculus with indicated ligand interaction sites. Reproduced from, EMBL EBI, 2005
Top fourteen structurally related proteins were all Kinases and some examples are:

  • Thymidylate Kinase
    • Which catalyses reversible phosphorylation transfer from ATP & TMP to ADP & TDP.

  • Shikimate Kinase
    • Which is found in plants and bacteria and catalyses reaction of phosphoryltransfer from ATP to shikimic acid.

  • Adenylate Kinase
    • Which catalyzes the production of ATP from ADP.

  • Dephospho-COA Kinase
    • Which is actually the DPCK domain of CoAsy, so it uses ATP as phosphate donor in phosphorylation of 3-hydroxy group of ribose in the COA synthesis pathway.
